Activity 1: I want you to explore some unusual homes around the world! Send me a picture of your favorite “Unusual Home” and 3-5 sentences (in English) about why you like that Casa!
Activity 2: On a blank piece of paper, or on Notability, make a table with two columns. Fill in the following words in the column on the left and label this column "objetos".
OBJECTOS
El lavabo (the bathroom sink)
El jabon (the soap) El espejo (The mirror) La bañera (the bathtub)
Then, explore your house and count all of the objects included in the chart. Record your results in your chart. Label the column on the right "Números". You can see an image of this in the PDF of the lesson or in the video.
Then, try to write a few sentences (3-5) about your findings in Spanish using the phrase:
Mi casa tiene (my house has)+ número (how many?) + Object name (objeto) Ex: Mi casa tiene tres camas. (my house has 3 beds)
Pay attention to singular and plural objects when writing your sentences. Email me your findings if possible: [email protected]
Activity 1 & 2:The activity this week will be for BOTH lessons. So, you can get started today, and finish later this week. On a piece of blank paper, or in Notability, draw your home. Use the two pictures in the lesson (access through the PDF of lesson) to help you decide how best to go about capturing your home. You can do a floor plan, or Bird’s Eye view, or you can do a Doll House view. It’s up to you. Then I want you to label the rooms and the objects in the rooms that we have been learning. Here is a list of Vocabulary you should consider adding!
Rooms: El cuarto La sala El baño La cocina
Objects: La cama La alfombra El libro La ventana El sófa La mesa La silla El lavabo La bañera El jabón El espejo El refrigerador El fregadero (kitchen sink) El horno El cuchillo El tazón El plato La taza El vaso La lámpara
